A person who is on the toilet in their house is not bothered by flies. A fly that is within a 10 meter radius will not be tempted by the smell what so ever because they are spoilt by the other left over foods and distinct smells throughout the house.
If you go camping and decide to dig a hole and "drop one off", flies from within a 42 meter radius will be attracted by this distinct smell because they are not spoilt. Within 3 seconds there will be 5 or more blow flies hovering around your legs and then the miracle of composting occurs.
A scientist in Germany has discovered a new spray that if sprayed around the area before release, then it will mask the smell and you will not be bothered by any unwanted hovering poo munchers. It is an odourless spray to humans but can be picked up by the minute receptacles that makes a fly attract it self to the waft of your faeces.
